While there are several efforts under way in this area, the one with the broadest support is the industry-led Universal PV Interface (UPVI) Alliance. The sooner we can establish a standard PV module interface, the sooner electronics of all kinds will have a simple path to market. The current method of convincing module manufacturers to go out on a limb to incorporate these products is a serious detractor to innovation.”
